The pushrods are located between the camshaft and the valves. They are secured to the engine block with four simple screws. Unscrew these screws, then use a plastic hammer to loosen the pushrods, which otherwise will not move from their seat, and pull them out by inserting two fingers into the two holes and pushing them against the guides. Remove all damaged gaskets. Remove the second guide by repeating the process, clean the area of the pushrods, and reinsert them in reverse order. If you are not replacing the pushrods but just cleaning them to refit the original guides, remember to insert the pieces exactly where you extracted them; do not mix them up!
