To replace the exhaust on a Harley Davidson Sportster, loosen the clamp that connects the end pipe to the remaining part of the exhaust system. Once the clamp is removed, you can loosen the bolt that secures the exhaust to its bracket at the rear. This will allow you to completely remove the old exhaust from its housing. Position the new exhaust by connecting it to the system with the clamp and securing it to the bracket with the appropriate bolt.
