To change the engine oil on an Aprilia Shiver, unscrew the oil drain plug located on the lower side of the bike so that all the used oil can drain out into a suitably placed container. After the oil has drained, close the drain plug and unscrew the oil filter located above it. Once the old filter has been removed and replaced with a new one, you can top up the oil by adding the necessary amount through the designated filler.
