It is advisable to perform this operation with the engine slightly warm. Start by placing your Aprilia Shiver on a motorcycle stand. Next, unscrew the lower oil drain nut to allow the engine oil to drain out, and wait for it to completely empty. Once done, re-screw the drain nut, then unscrew and remove the upper filler cap. At this point, pour in the new engine oil, then re-screw the filler cap. Once you have completed this step, the engine oil change on your Aprilia Shiver will be complete.
