To replace the rear headlamp bulb on a Harley Davidson Sportster, loosen the two side screws that secure the headlamp to its housing, allowing it to be completely detached. By removing the optical unit, you can pull out the bulb contained within, disconnecting its connector. Connect the new bulb to the connector and insert it into its housing. Then, reposition the optical unit so that it is secured to its housing with the appropriate screws.
