This brief video will illustrate the steps to perform the routine maintenance service by changing the engine oil and oil filter on the Honda CB 500 motorcycle. First, place your motorcycle on a stand and start unscrewing the oil drain bolt located under the engine, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes; then unscrew the oil filter cartridge and replace it with a new one (screw it in by hand and tighten it gently). Finally, unscrew the filler cap and top up by pouring in the appropriate oil (as indicated in the owner's manual).
