How to Replace the Cabin Air Filter

Model: Honda Civic MK 8 - Years 2006-2012

First, open the glove compartment and gently squeeze both sides of the drawer to bypass the stop, allowing it to drop completely to the floor of the car. At this point, you have access to the filter cover. Simultaneously press inward on the two tabs that secure the cover and pull out the frame with the filter to be replaced. Now detach the filter from its support and replace it with the new one. Remember that the arrow indicating the airflow must point downwards. Now slide the frame with the new filter back into its housing, ensuring it clicks back into place. Press the sides of the glove compartment again to reinsert it into its sliding housing and close it.
