How do you disassemble the engine of a Husaberg FE 400?

The procedure for disassembling the Husaberg FE 400 engine involves first removing it from its housing, unscrewing the screws that attach it to the appropriate supports, and disconnecting the sensor connectors. Once the engine block has been removed, it will be possible to unscrew the screws that fix the cylinder, removing it from the top of the engine and accessing the piston: this can now be removed from its connecting rod by loosening its fixing ring. Then, it will also be possible to loosen the bolts on the side covers to access further components inside the block.

Let's find out below the instructions on how to carry out the routine maintenance service, replacing the engine oil and the oil filter, of the Derbi Fds. First of all, we put the stand on our bike and start to drain the engine oil, unscrewing the vent bolt that we find under the engine; let the old oil drain in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we unscrew the filler cap and carry out the new top up; we use the oil with the right characteristics, finally checking the oil level using the dipstick!
