To remove the engine from a Husaberg FE 400, first extract it from its housing by unscrewing the bolts that secure it to the supports and disconnecting the appropriate connectors. Once the engine has been removed, you can unscrew the bolts that secure the cylinder, removing it from the top of the engine and accessing the piston: this can now be detached from its connecting rod by removing the retaining ring. You can also loosen the bolts that secure the side cover, gaining access to the clutch and other internal components.
