How to Change Spark Plugs on a Hyundai I30 Petrol MK1

Let’s see how to change the spark plugs on a Hyundai I30 MK1 petrol. Open the bonnet and remove the plastic cover that protects access to the spark plugs. For each coil, slide the grey tab back to unlock the power connector, then remove the fixing bolt and pull out the coil. Using a socket spanner, an extension, and a 16mm spark plug socket, loosen the spark plug. If the socket does not grip the spark plug, use the coil, inserting it onto the spark plug to unscrew the last few turns and pull it out. Use a thin plastic tube attached to a vacuum cleaner to thoroughly clean the spark plug well before inserting the new one, which should be inserted and hand-tightened for the first few turns to avoid damaging the thread. Reinsert the coil until you hear the "click" of the fixing, then reattach the bolt, reconnect the power, and repeat for the other spark plugs. Finally, reattach the plastic cover.
