In this video, see how to replace the torque mount bushes on the Hyundai i30: these are rubber or polyurethane components that absorb engine vibrations and stabilise the movement of the driveshaft. Lift the car with a jack and position the axle stands, then remove the cover located under the engine.

The mount is a metal arm connected to the engine and the chassis; undo the 3 bolts, with 1 on the engine side and 2 on the chassis side, and extract the old bushes (you may need a bit of force). You can find the new bushes on comarsport.com with the code KDT970-78 for £41.96 plus unspecified shipping costs: insert them ensuring they are oriented correctly, with the flat side facing outwards and the drainage hole facing down.

Reposition the mount and tighten the bolts without fully securing them until all are aligned. The video clearly shows all the steps.

The polyurethane bushes reduce vibrations but slightly increase cabin noise.
