How to Replace the Key Battery of a Hyundai IX20

Replacing the remote key battery of a Hyundai IX20 is a simple and quick operation. Locate the small release button on the key and press it to extract the metal blade (which is the emergency key). With the key open, use a flat screwdriver or a plastic tool in the slot along the edge of the remote to separate the two halves of the casing. The battery is a CR2032, easily obtainable. Remove the old battery carefully, paying attention to the orientation: the positive (+) side must face upwards. Insert the new battery and close the remote by pressing until you hear a click. Reinsert the metal key and check the operation of the buttons. The procedure takes less than a minute.
