Replacement of Front Door Window Mechanism

Model: Hyundai Elantra XD, MK 3 - Years 2000-2006
Part: Power window motor

The first operation is to remove the door panel: start by removing the triangular plastic cover behind the external rear-view mirror; remove the screw caps along the outer edge and under the internal handle grip; then unscrew the screws and detach the panel by disconnecting the window switch connector and the courtesy light connector. Peel off the soundproofing cover using a blade to cut the adhesive strip (otherwise, the panel may tear).
At this point, unscrew the screws securing the window motor and remove it; disconnect the safety and opening lever cables. Access the clips securing the glass to loosen them and extract the glass itself. Proceed to remove the subframe of the panel to which the window mechanism is attached and work backwards for reassembly.
