Let's see how to replace the battery of a Jaguar F-Type: to perform this operation, it is highly recommended to use a voltage maintainer connected to the electrical system, to avoid the loss of the ECU settings. The battery is located in the trunk, on the right side. Remove the fabric cover panel and the plastic tray underneath, to expose the battery. Remove the fixing bracket by removing the two 10 mm screws, then disconnect the negative cable, which has a sensor/protective switch, an additional component that must be removed, and then reattached to the new battery. Disconnect the positive cable; remove the connectors and then remove the battery. Install the new battery in the properly cleaned compartment by first connecting the positive cable, then the negative one, reconnect the connectors and reattach the fixing bracket. Reassemble the plastic panel and the carpet and the job is done.
