How to Change the Remote Key Battery for Jaguar X Type

Model: Jaguar X-Type MK 1 - Years 2001-2009

Is your remote key not working? Let's see how to disassemble the key in all its parts. Pry open the two covers of the key with a screwdriver (in the gap between the two plastics). Keep prying until the two covers separate, then separate the part of the cover that houses the battery. Remove the worn battery with a small screwdriver, take a new one of the same size and voltage. At the end of assembly, press the key case until you hear it click into place. Join the two covers and finish assembling the remote key.
