Replace the gear knob on your Jeep Patriot. Follow these steps for removal: first, remove the leather gaiter frame using a plastic lever (which covers the gear lever). Then, grasp the knob with both hands and rotate it left and right until it comes off the gear stick. For installation: take the new knob and slide it onto the shaft in the centre console, tightening it until fully threaded. Finally, test the correct installation of the knob by moving the shaft in the centre console.
