How to Replace the Timing Belt of the Jeep Compass Mk1

This guide shows how to replace the timing belt of the Jeep Compass. After safely lifting the front of the vehicle, remove the right wheel and open the bonnet. Using a 16mm spanner, unscrew the retaining bolt of the tensioner pulley and slide off the old timing belt. Insert the new timing belt, carefully following the installation diagram. Loosen the belt tensioner again to fit it onto the last pulley. Check the correct positioning of the belt and reassemble the wheel. Lower the vehicle and check the proper operation of the vehicle.
