How to reset the oil light on a Jeep Renegade (2015)

Have you done a DIY oil change and now need to reset the service light? Here’s how to do it. The procedure is very simple and quick, but remember to do it only if you have actually replaced the oil; it is a vital fluid for the engine, and proper replacement at regular intervals (annual or mileage-based) helps keep your car running efficiently. With that said, let’s go through the necessary steps to turn off the light. To reset the oil light, get in the car and turn on the ignition (without starting the engine). At this point, the light indicating the need to replace the oil will appear. Now press the accelerator pedal all the way down three times, completing the operation in less than 5 seconds. Turn off the ignition, and if the procedure was successful, the message will not appear when you restart the car.
