To replace the air filter that feeds the engine of the Jeep Compass, open the front bonnet, locate the air filter on the driver's side, and use a 10 mm socket to undo the bolt securing the cover bracket. Remove the screws holding the cover, using a flexible extension for the two screws closest to the bulkhead.

Once the cover is removed, pull out the old filter, clean the inside of the box with a vacuum, and insert the new filter element. Refit the cover and secure it with its screws, then tighten the bracket bolt.
