Cleaning the Mass Air Flow Sensor

Model: Jeep Cherokee KJ, MK 3 - Years 2002-2007

The mass air flow sensor is a flow meter fitted to many engines to measure the amount of air drawn into the engine. Remove the sensor from the air intake, taking care not to drop the screws. Due to the delicate components of the sensor, clean the inside of the flow meter with a gentle stream of air, or better yet, use a small vacuum to prevent dust from penetrating deeper. Clean the exterior with a clean cloth dampened with a light deoxidising fluid. Carefully refit the component by reconnecting the connector and check the proper functioning of the instrument.

How to remove the diesel filter on a Ford Focus? Lift the car on a column lift or suitable jack (if necessary), locate the diesel filter as shown in the video. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the metal piece that secures the filter (you can also use a socket spanner). After disconnecting all the circulation pipes and the fuel cable: remove the diesel filter housing from the vehicle (replace it with a new one). Finally, refit the filter to the attached diesel filter housing (connect the pipes and cables) and tighten the appropriate bolts. Close the bonnet.
