How do you open the front bonnet of a Polo for maintenance? This is a simple operation, let's see how it's done. Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then slightly lift the bonnet and pull the release lever to the left. Once the bonnet is released, lift it up and secure it with the prop rod. Perform maintenance in the engine bay. To close the bonnet, remove the safety rod and let the bonnet drop down from a minimal height. Ensure that the bonnet is securely closed for the safety of the vehicle and yourself.
