Don't know where to put your hands to open the bonnet? Let's see how to open the bonnet on our Volkswagen Polo in this video. Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the bonnet slightly and pull the release lever to the left. Once the bonnet is unlocked, lift it up and secure it with the prop rod. Now that the bonnet is open, you can perform your necessary maintenance. To close the bonnet: remove the prop rod and let the bonnet drop down from a minimal height. Ensure it is properly closed.
