Volkswagen Polo - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Polo
Polo IV, MK 4, 9N, Polo 4, MK IV
- Years 2001-2009 The malfunction of the camshaft sensor often causes the engine not to start as the control unit is unable to read the position of the valves and therefore to give the correct injection sequence. The sensor is easy to intercept: it is located on the side of the tappet cover; then disconnect the socket connected to it, unscrew the fixing screw and remove it from its seat; apply oil to the o-ring of the new sensor before installing it, to improve its adhesion, tighten the fixing screw and connect the socket. Finally, delete the fault memory of the engine management control unit with the appropriate diagnostic instrumentation.
