How to Adjust the Valves on a Volkswagen Golf?

To adjust the valves on a Volkswagen Golf, open the bonnet and access the engine bay. Here, loosen the screws securing the plastic cover under which the camshaft is located. Once the cover is removed, you can check the valve adjustment with a feeler gauge. Using a socket spanner, tighten or loosen the valves according to the recommended values; once all valves are correctly adjusted, replace and secure the plastic cover.
