To change the motor oil of a Kawasaki Versys 650, start by making sure the motorcycle is on a flat and stable surface, preferably on a center stand or specific stands for added safety. First of all, it is advisable to warm up the engine for a few minutes, so that the oil becomes more fluid and drains better. Once the engine is turned off, locate the oil drain plug located at the bottom of the engine. Place a container under the plug to collect the old oil. Unscrew the drain plug with an appropriate wrench and let the oil drain completely into the container. After allowing the oil to drain for a few minutes, clean the area around the drain plug thoroughly and tighten it back, making sure it is securely fastened to prevent leaks. At this point, remove the oil tank cap and start pouring the new specific oil for the Kawasaki Versys 650. Pour it slowly, avoiding overfilling the tank. Once the refill is complete, start the engine for a few seconds and then turn it off, allowing the oil to distribute inside the engine.
