Descriptive guide for replacing the air filter on a Kawasaki Z800. Obtain an HIFLO air filter HFA2802. Position the motorcycle on the rear stand. Remove the passenger and rider seats. Using a 4mm hex key, unscrew the screws located under the two side fairings next to the rider seat. Also unscrew the upper screws of the fairings with a Torx T20 key. Disconnect the two side fairings. Using a Torx T25 key, unscrew the screws of the other two fairings located under the tank, at engine height. Using the Torx key, unscrew the fixing screws of the lower side fairings and disconnect. Unscrew the Torx screws of the side fairings on the tank and slide them towards the front. Using a 10mm socket, unscrew the two support screws of the tank at the front. With the help of a pair of curved needle-nose pliers, remove the spring clamp on the breather tube of the tank, to the left of the front screws. Disconnect the connector with the black sheath and also the one with the blue sheath located under the tank, on the right side of the motorcycle. Unscrew the rear tank fixing screw with the 10mm socket. Lift the tank and disconnect the fuel hose by pressing the two green tabs towards the inside of the tube and pull it out. Unscrew the cross-head screws of the filter box and replace the filter inside it. Reassemble everything as per disassembly. Use the 10mm socket to unscrew.
