To remove the oil sump, first remove the exhaust system and move (or remove) the radiator. Before moving the radiator, you should drain the coolant from the system. Collect it in a container or bottle. To access the oil sump, you only need to move the radiator, but if you want to clean it (which I recommend while you are at it), feel free to remove it. Once the exhaust system is removed, drain the oil from the sump by opening the lower hole and collecting the used lubricant. Now you can unscrew the sump and clean or replace it.
