To change the engine oil on the Kawasaki ZX-6R, loosen the screw that secures the oil drain plug, located at the central lower part of the bike. This will allow all the used oil to flow into a suitably positioned container; in the same location, you will find the oil filter, which needs to be removed from its housing and replaced with a new spare part. After the filter has been replaced, close the drain plug and top up through the designated breather on the left side of the bike.
