To remove the fuel tank from the Kawasaki Versys 650, loosen the screws that secure the side fairings at the front of the bike, near the tank. Once these screws are loosened, remove the fairings and then loosen the screws that secure the tank itself.

The tank can now be lifted by disconnecting the connector of the sensor underneath. Once the tank is completely free, it can be removed and replaced with a new spare part; after replacement, remount the fairings.
