We recommend the use of 10W-40 lubricant for this model. After warming up the engine well, for at least five minutes, unscrew the hexagonal bolt obviously placed at the bottom and side of the bike (see video). Collect used oil in a tray and dispose of it properly. It is advisable to also open the upper filling hole of the engine oil tank immediately, in order to circulate the air and make sure that all the lubricant is poured: it will take about 15 minutes to drain. Measure the amount of old oil that has escaped and pour in the new lubricant we have recommended from the filling hole.

How to replace the front brake pads on the Ktm Super Adventure 1290

Today we will see, in this video tutorial, how to disassemble and replace the front brake pads of the Ktm Super Adventure 1290 motorcycle. First of all, put our motorcycle on the stand and start unscrewing and removing the central locking pin of the brake pads with a pliers; then we lever the caliper piston to make it retract, in order to remove the old brake pads, as shown in the video. At this point, let's clean up the caliper and install the new brake pads; then let's fix them correctly, inserting and locking the pin!
