In order to program the key of the Kia Picanto, you will need to connect a diagnostic tool to the OBD port of the vehicle: this port can be found on the dashboard immediately below the steering column. You will also need to insert the blank key into the ignition switch and then select the model and version on the screen: then you can follow the instructions to ensure that the key programming is successful.

At this point, you can disconnect the scanner and verify that the key works.
