How to Change Tyres on a Kia Sportage

In this video, learn how to change the tyres on a 2017 Kia Sportage: the jack is located in the boot, under the load floor, and the spare wheel is secured with a large nut under the boot. There are specific lifting points on the chassis under the bodywork: these are reinforced "pockets" or recesses. Before lifting the vehicle, slightly loosen the wheel nuts with the spanner, turning counterclockwise. If they are very tight, use your foot on the spanner for leverage; then slowly lift the car until the wheel is a few centimetres off the ground. Remove all the nuts, take the flat tyre and place it under the car (this is an extra precaution in case the jack fails). Place the spare wheel onto the hub, hand-tighten the nuts, then lower the car until the wheel is resting on the ground. Remove the jack, tighten the nuts with the spanner, and store the flat tyre, jack, and all tools in their compartment. The spare wheel is an emergency wheel, so drive cautiously and replace it as soon as possible.
