How to Change the Engine Oil in a Kia Rio

To change the engine oil in a Kia Rio, park the vehicle on a flat surface and safely lift it to access the underside of the engine. Position a collection tray under the oil sump and unscrew the filler cap located in the engine bay. Then, remove the drain plug at the bottom of the sump and allow the used oil to drain completely. Once draining is finished, reinstall the drain plug, ensuring the seal is in good condition. Pour the new lubricant through the filler neck using the specified quantity for the installed engine. Check the level with the dipstick and add oil if necessary. Start the engine for a few seconds, turn it off, and check the level again, ensuring there are no leaks around the drain plug.
