If your Kia or Hyundai Hybrid won't start, you should know there is a hidden button near the steering wheel, usually at the bottom, labelled '12v battery reset'. These cars, like the Kia Niro in the video, have a standard 12V battery, just like conventional vehicles.

If the car has been stationary for a long time or detects that the battery is too low, it automatically disconnects the hybrid system to protect itself.

Press this button and wait a few seconds, then try to start it. This should reconnect the battery and start the car. If it doesn't work, then you will need a jump start, cables, or a booster.
