Replacing the Cabin Fan Resistor on a Kia Rio

Learn how to replace the fan resistor on a Kia Rio. First, remove the plastic or cloth cover under the front dashboard using a lever. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the cover (where the resistor is located).

Disconnect the large connector from the resistor, then pull it out from the cabin. Insert a new fan resistor (connect the power connector).

Finally, refit the cover and tighten the screws. Check the proper installation of the previously mounted parts and test their correct operation.
