Replacing Power Steering Fluid

Model: Kia Sportage MK 2, KM - Years 2004-2010

Open the front bonnet and locate the power steering fluid reservoir: it is on the left side (when facing the front), just behind the windscreen washer reservoir. Loosen the clamp on the return oil pipe, which is the one positioned lowest in the reservoir; slide the pipe out and extend it using a larger diameter piece of pipe, so you can reach the collection container. Start the engine and turn the steering wheel left and right to allow the oil to drain while simultaneously filling the reservoir with new oil. Continue until clean oil flows out. Reposition the pipe on the reservoir and restore the level.
