Removing the gear knob from the KIA Optima MK4 is very simple; follow this tutorial. All you need to do is unclip the base of the gaiter from the centre console, as shown in the video. Once done, you can pull the knob off the shaft by gripping it and pulling upwards. This operation may require some force, but with a bit of patience and, if necessary, a pair of pliers, it will come off easily. Fitting the replacement will be just as straightforward; remember to secure the gaiter to the knob with a new plastic tie.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
