To set up the tyre pressure monitoring system on a Kia Rio, you need to follow a precise procedure. First, inflate the tyres to the recommended pressure, then start the car. Now press the TPMS button (SET!) for at least three seconds; the warning light will flash on the display and will turn off after a few moments. If the light does not flash, repeat the procedure by pressing the TPMS button again. The warning light illuminates on the dashboard when one or more tyres are under-inflated after setting the TPMS.
