In the KIA Sorento, it may happen that the fuel door gets stuck, for example due to a problem with the control button or the lock actuator. In these cases, we can still perform the emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in this tutorial. First, we open the trunk door, then we locate the small panel on the left wall, about halfway up, and unclip it. We then grab the indicated rope and pull it towards us, in order to manually unlock the lock. At this point, we can refuel or replace the damaged component.
