In this tutorial we can see how to replace the engine oil in the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S, an extremely simple and fast operation, to be carried out every 12 months. First of all, we wait for the engine to be cold enough, then we position a container underneath it and remove the protective cover. We then unscrew the bolts of the two drain holes with a 13mm socket wrench, let all the oil contained in the system drain out and then proceed by opening the filter housing. At this point, all that remains is to insert the replacement, reassemble everything and pour in the new oil through the appropriate hole.
