In order to disassemble the engine of the KTM EXC 300, you need to loosen the screws that fix the piece to its housing in the central lower part of the frame: once the fixing screws have been loosened, you can disconnect the connectors and remove the intake and exhaust manifolds. Then the piston inside the cylinder can be detached from the corresponding connecting rod in order to access the crankshaft: this way you can replace all the necessary components and close the engine block again, reinstalling it on the frame.
