To change the motor oil of a KTM EXC 450, start by heating the engine for a few minutes to make the oil more fluid. Turn off the engine and place the motorcycle on a stand to keep it stable. Locate the oil drain plug under the engine. Place a collection tray under the drain plug and use an appropriate wrench to unscrew the plug, allowing the old oil to drain completely. After the oil has drained, reattach the drain plug and tighten it securely. Find the oil fill cap, usually located on the side of the engine. Remove the cap and use a funnel to slowly pour the recommended amount of new motor oil, being careful not to exceed the maximum level indicated. Once finished, replace the fill cap and tighten it securely. Start the engine for a few minutes to circulate the new oil, then turn it off and check for any leaks. Make sure to dispose of the used oil properly and responsibly.
