Descriptive guide for replacing the oil and oil filter of a 2013 KTM Duke 690. Get 2LT of Bardhal XT $ sae 10w60 oil, HIFLO HF155 + HF157 oil filters. Place the motorcycle on the side stand. Place a container for the recovery of the oil to be disposed of under the engine. With a ratchet and a 13mm socket unscrew the oil drain plug located under the engine on the left side. Using a 17 mm socket, unscrew the other cap located to the left of the other cap. Let all the oil drain. Extract a filter cartridge from the hole of the 17 cap, carefully clean and reposition, then screw the caps. Using a ratchet and a 10mm socket, unscrew the two support screws of the oil filter cover, located above the crankcase, left side. Remove the filter and replace with the new one. Open the oil filler neck, located on the left side at the bottom of the crankcase. With a ratchet and a 10mm socket unscrew the other cover of the oil filter, the cap has a tube that reaches the center of it. Replace the filter. Pour the oil with the help of a funnel referring to the level inspection hole located under the crankcase. The manufacturer declares 1.7LT of oil. Check after a first start-up.
