To replace the piston on a KTM EXC 250, loosen the screws that secure the engine block within its housing, unscrew the screws that attach it to the supports, and disconnect all various pipes and connectors. This way, the engine block can be removed, and you can proceed to unscrew the screws that secure the cylinder at the top of the engine: by removing the cylinder, you will locate the piston inside, which must be detached from the connecting rod by widening the fastening ring and sliding out the corresponding pin. This will allow you to insert the new piston and reassemble the engine.
