To replace the piston of the KTM EXC 250, you need to loosen the screws that secure the cylinder to the top of the engine: this will allow you to completely detach it so that you can access the piston inside. The piston can then be freed from the connecting rod by removing the retaining ring and the corresponding pin; you can then position the new piston on the connecting rod and secure it with the pin and the corresponding ring. After installation, you can reposition the cylinder on the top of the engine to ensure that everything is functioning properly.
