To replace the piston on the KTM EXC 300, loosen the bolts that secure the engine block to its housing at the bottom of the bike. After disconnecting the connectors of the various sensors, you can completely remove the engine.

Then, proceed to unscrew the bolts that secure the engine cylinder at its upper part: once the cylinder is removed, you will have access to the piston, which can be detached from its connecting rod by removing the corresponding retaining ring. After removing the piston, insert the new replacement part, reassembling all other components.
