To replace the piston on the KTM EXC 300, you need to loosen the bolts that secure the engine block to its housing at the bottom of the bike. After disconnecting the connectors of the various sensors, you will be able to completely remove the engine. Then, proceed by unscrewing the bolts that secure the engine cylinder at its top. Once the cylinder is removed, you will have access to the piston, which can be detached from its conrod by loosening the corresponding retaining ring. After removing the piston, you can insert the new one, reassembling all previously removed components.
