How to close the seat of the T-Max

Model: Yamaha T Max
Part: Seat

Video tutorial

This guide shows how to close the seat of the Yamaha T-Max (the seat for the rider/passenger). A common issue with this seat is that the two pins at the bottom of the seat do not align easily with the holes in the chassis.

If they are out of position, they must be moved manually: they should have a slight play. Insert the key into the seat opening lock: the pins should move (open/close) when the key is turned.

When lowering the seat, do so carefully, ensuring the pins enter straight into the holes and are in the correct position to latch. When pressing the seat down, you should hear a "click" indicating that the pins have latched.

If it does not close, the pins may be damaged or dirty, the holes may be obstructed, and the lock cable may be misaligned or broken.

How to Dismantle the Engine of the Derbi DRD 125?

To replace the engine of the Derbi DRD 125, you need to completely remove the block from its housing by unscrewing the screws that secure it to its mounts and disconnecting all the power cables of the respective sensors. Then, proceed by unscrewing the screws that hold the cylinder, removing it completely, and also dismantling the piston contained within, removing the corresponding ring that secures it to the conrod. By also detaching the two side casings, you will gain access to the underlying components, which can be replaced with new spare parts if necessary.
