To remove the fuel tank from a KTM Super Adventure 1290, insert the key into the side lock of the vehicle to remove the seat from its housing: once the seat is removed, you will have access to the screws that secure the tank at the rear. Next, unscrew the screws that secure it at the side by removing the protective panels. At this point, the tank can be slid out of its position by disconnecting the connectors underneath and inserting the new tank.
