To change the engine oil of your KTM 1290 Super Adventure, start by making sure the engine is warm to facilitate oil drainage. Lift the motorcycle on a central or side stand for greater stability. Locate the oil drain plug on the bottom side of the engine and place a container to collect the used oil underneath it. Remove the drain plug and let the used oil drain completely. Remove the oil filter using a specific wrench. Clean the filter mounting area and lubricate the new filter with clean oil before installing it. Once the oil has stopped dripping, replace the drain plug and tighten it securely. Add new oil through the oil filler cap, using the oil recommended by the manufacturer and following the owner's manual specifications for the correct quantity. Check the oil level with the dipstick and add oil if necessary, and you will have completed the replacement.
